Chandler placed on probation after search of Verdon residence
Chandler enters no contest plea ahead of Kelly conspiracy trial

FALLS CITY - Candace Chandler, 24, of Salem was sentenced to 18 months probation for constructive possession on Aug. 15 after entering a no contest plea.
Richardson County sheriff’s deputies searched a Verdon residence and arrested 32-year-old James Kelly after a scale with meth residue was found. Investigators alleged that Kelly had earlier arranged for Chandler to possess methamphetamine.
Chandler’s probation term will run concurrent to a sentence for attempted possession in June of 2021.
In that case, Falls City police searched an Eastview Apartment and say meth was found in a shoe.
Kelly is scheduled for trial in November on a conspiracy to deliver methamphetamine charge.
He is also scheduled for trial in December on a theft charge.
