32 team 8-man football playoffs begin Thursday

NEBRASKA CITY - It's hard to believe it, but yes, the Nebraska high school football playoffs are set to begin Thursday for Classes D1 and D2 featuring 32 teams in each bracket.
The 16 winners of the opening round will then be re-seeded into a new 16 team bracket that will set up the games for the remainder of the postseason. Those games are set to begin Friday, Oct. 28.
For, now 64 total teams across both classes look to continue their seasons for another week. Each bracket is loaded with quality teams to start out. D1 has 11 teams with records of 7-1 or better and D2 has 14 teams that fit those criteria.
The higher seed in each game is the designated home team and host school. Not all times and locations are decided yet according to the NSAA website, but below are the River Country school's participating in the action on Thursday.
