Oregon man charged for 'magic mushrooms'
Otoe County seizes illegal drugs, over $28,000 in cash

NEBRASKA CITY – An Oregon man is charge in Otoe County for possession of “magic mushrooms.”
Court records say a sheriff’s deputy found 170, 4-gram packages of psilocybin capsules labeled "magic mushrooms." The packages were found in a tote in the back of a pickup truck that was stopped on Highway 2 on Oct. 1.
The sheriff’s office also reports finding $28,213 in a bag in the truck.
A deputy says he initiated a search of truck after seeing the driver, 35-year-old Alex De Nardo of Medford, throw something from the truck into a ditch. Prosecutors say the thrown bag contained cocaine.
A $75,000 bond was set for De Nardo.
