JOHNSON-Two 5-0 powerhouse teams in Class D2 met on Thursday night in Johnson, Nebraska

The Johnson-Brock Eagles played host to the BDS Eagles in a game that would continue to ignite the rivalry between the teams.

Johnson-Brock would come out swinging on offense and defense, shutting down the BDS offense on their first two drives.  Sloan Pelican would find Nic Parriott in the endzone once from 16 yards the other from 24 yards to put JB up 14-0.

Just when it looked like Johnson-Brock would command the game, BDS took over with a slow, methodical approach using their size and physicality to control the rhythm of the game.

BDS would score with 1:18 left in the half and would score again quickly after an onside kick to take the lead at half 16-14

Pelican would find Parriott again after a 36-yard completion with 6:07 left in the third quarter to put Johnson-Brock back on to 22-16. That lead would not last long as BDS would answer and ultimately take a 36-22 lead late in the 4th quarter.

Johnson-Brock refused to give up as they marched down the field in less than 30 seconds and scored a Pelican 1 yard touchdown run with 1:13 left in the game.  JB would then recover the onside kick but would turn the ball over on downs deep in BDS territory.

Final score BDS 36, Johnson-Brock 30.  BDS moves to 6-0 on the year JB goes to 5-1.
