Nebraska Railroad Museum evaluates inventory

NEBRASKA CITY – The Nebraska Railroad Museum announced Wednesday that some equipment inherited from the Fremont and Elkhorn Valley Railroad will not be kept.
The railroad museum plans to dispose of two, 40-foot boxcars that were moved to Humphrey and Schuyler, Neb.
A railroad car with sections for both passengers and freight was moved to Ames, Neb.
A baggage car was sold to the Illinois Railway Museum and is being moved to Illinois.
Pullmans cars were sold to private individuals in Davis, Okla., and one is awaiting removal.
A FEVR 1219 locomotive owned by the Fremont & Elkhorn Valley Railroad was damaged by vandals and has been deemed unfeasible for restoration. It has been sold to a private individual and awaiting removal.
Removal of a 1938 CB&Q is also pending.
The Nebraska Railroad Museum also purchased a business car.
