NEBRASKA -- As Nebraska gets ready for casino gaming, state officials are giving residents the ability to take themselves out of the game.

The State Racing and Gaming Commission is launching a statewide portal for members of the public to voluntarily exclude themselves from participating in gaming activities in Nebraska.

The self-exclusion program gives Nebraskans the ability to fill out a form that would voluntarily prohibit them from entering gaming establishments, basically, they would ban themselves from casino gambling.

The form gives Nebraskans the option of self-exclusion for terms of one, three, or five years - or even for life.

The portal also includes other resources to handle problem gaming.
