OMAHA, Neb. -- Immigrant Legal Center (ILC) will be hosting the 8th annual Food Truck World Tour to raise critical funding to support free immigration legal services for low-income families in Nebraska and southwest Iowa on Sunday.

The event will begin 3:30 p.m. CDT and ends at 6:30 p.m. CT at Stinson Park in Aksarben Village.

The event chairs this year are Jonathan and Ashley Wegner alongside Nick Wegner and Krystal Vuong Wegner. During the event, guests will sample food from all around the globe including meals from local food trucks: El Arepón, Chaima African Cuisine, Maria Bonita, Pim’s Thai, Via Farina, Omaha Steaks, and more. Entertainment will include Mary Snead’s Fine Art/Caricature, balloon art and face painting as well as performances from Omaha Kung Fu Academy, Mariachi Rey Azteca, Omaha Pipes and Drums, and more.

“The need for high-quality immigration legal services is critical,” said Erik Omar, Executive Director of ILC. “Over the last year, Omaha has welcomed more people fleeing violence and war, including many from Afghanistan and Ukraine. The Food Truck World Tour allows our dedicated legal and social work teams to provide the support immigrants and their families need to live with confidence and free from fear.”

Tickets and sponsorships are available for purchase. Individual tickets are $75. Children’s tickets are $15. All ticket options can be purchased at www.immigrantlc.org/foodtruck.
