Trojan horse runs wild in Shenandoah
SHENANDOAH, IOWA-The Shenandoah Mustangs football team came into Friday's game against Atlantic riding a two-game win streak to start the season.
Atlantic came into the contest after losing their first two games of the season and allowing an average of 40 points against their defense per game.
The Trojans appeared to be motivated to correct those defensive woes and marched into Shenandoah on a mission to be the most physical team on the field. Their defense stifled the Mustang offense holding them to only 81 total yards and 0 points.
Atlantic on offense would wear down the Shenandoah defense by holding on to the ball for almost the entire game, 43 minutes and 41 seconds of power football. Isaac Henson had 178 yards and touchdown to lead the stat chart for the Trojans, but ultimately the defense dictated the pace of the game.
Atlantic would hand Shenandoah their first loss while gaining their first win of season by a final score of 26-0
