OMAHA, Neb. -- The State Supreme Court is upholding the sexual assault conviction of a former Omaha gym owner.
The State's High Court on Friday affirmed the conviction of 59-year-old Douglas Anders.
Anders was sentenced to 25 to 30 years in prison after his sexual assault conviction.
Prosecutors said Anders used coercion and deception to have sex with a young woman at his gym several years ago.
He argues in his appeal that there was insufficient evidence for his conviction and that his sentence was excessive.
But the Supreme Court said Friday it found no merit to Anders' claims and affirmed his conviction and sentence.
