OMAHA, Neb. -- The Omaha Police Department is investigating a crash that involved two teens.

The report said police were dispatched to Interstate-680 and West Dodge Road at 7:24 p.m. on Wednesday.

OPD said they located a white 2001 Ford Explorer in a ditch.

According to authorities, investigators determined that the Explorer, driven by an 18-year-old, was traveling west on West Dodge Road to go south on I-680.

Officials said the car left the roadway and rolled several times before coming to a stop at the bottom of the ditch.

OPD said the passenger, 16-year-old Caden Foster, was ejected from the vehicle.

According to the report, Omaha Fire Department medics transferred the driver and Foster to an Omaha hospital. Foster was pronounced dead at the hospital while the driver's injuries are non-life-threatening.

Officials said speed and seatbelt use are considered factors in the crash and OPD Traffic Unit Accident Investigations Squad is investigating the accident.
