FAIRBURY, NE — With the help of our donors and volunteers, the Red Cross Bloodmobile was able to collect 73 units of blood in the Camp Do Good blood drive held on Tuesday, July 12, 2022 at the Fairbury Elks Club.
There were three first-time donors and seven Power Red donors. Of course, the real winners are the patients in need of blood. Each blood donation can help save up to three lives. These blood donations are truly appreciated by the blood recipients and their loved ones.
"We are so grateful to the local community for the support of the Red Cross Bloodmobile," Red Cross Blood Team Leader Cheryl Seachord said in a statement. "Through their generosity, the July 12 Red Cross Bloodmobile was a success."
The Red Cross Bloodmobile would not be possible without the Fairbury Elks Club, Thrivent Action Team Food Sponsor and the assistance of the following volunteers:
Sharon Kettelhut, Phyllis Kriesel, Carolyn Tate, C.J. Freese, Letha Jones, Sandra Busing, Marilyn Snyder, Natalie Stewart, Barb Schmidt, Karen Fox, Aldene Goeking Brenda Beachler, Sherrill Goeking, Denise Schoenrock, Deb Hellbusch, Shirley Carmichael, Marcia Mitchell and Patti Seitz.
The next Red Cross Bloodmobile will be Tuesday, October 11, 2022 at the Fairbury Elks Club. If you are interested in making an appointment, please call Cheryl Seachord at 402-729-2592.
