Richardson County probationer named in delivery charge
FALLS CITY – A Richardson County Sheriff’s Office post says deputies are continuing the effort to combat methamphetamine distribution.
Deputies arrested Kelly Simpson, 46, on Tuesday. She is suspected of delivery of methamphetamine within 1,000 feet of a playground, possession of meth and possession of drug money.
A bond of $35,000 was set in Richardson County court.
Previously, Simpson was arrested and charged after sheriff deputies searched a Lane Street residence in June of 2020. She was sentenced to 18 months probation for attempted possession of methamphetamine. A hearing is scheduled in July alleging a probation violation.
Court records say the probation office claims that Simpson absconded and her whereabouts were unknown in April.
The affidavit regarding the current arrest has been sealed by the court.
