FALLS CITY – The Richardson County Sheriff’s Office reports a high-speed chase involving multiple passengers Tuesday morning that ended with the assistance of Nemaha County sheriff’s deputies on Highway 75.

A Richardson County Sheriff’s Office press release says deputies became suspicious of criminal activity after a vehicle started making multiple turns without signaling early Tuesday morning. After initiating a traffic stop, the vehicle proceeded north on Highway 75 at speeds in excess of 100 mph.

Nemaha County deputies were able to spike the fleeing vehicle’s tires near 725 Road.

Chase Cook, 20, of Texas is suspected of child endangerment, false imprisonment, flight to avoid arrest and willfull reckless driving.

The sheriff’s office says there were multiple minors in the vehicle, including one who is less than three months old.  A 58-year-old passenger was transported to the Nemaha County hospital.
