School official confirms no actual threat in Falls City
FBI reports concerning Twitter posts, but sheriff says man was not attempting to carry out ideation<br/>

Falls City School Superintendent reported Friday that Sheriff Rick Hardesty confirmed that there was not a threat to schools in Richardson County.
News Channel Nebraska reported that the sheriff’s office received a tip from the Federal Bureau of Investigations regarding a Twitter post from a Falls City man regarding bringing an “AK” to a grade school.
The sheriff’s office investigated and obtained a court order to search a west 15th Street residence where a man was arrested.
The sheriff said the FBI tip was taken seriously, but the man was not attempting to carry out the ideations described in social media posts.
Superintendent Tim Heckenlively said the sheriff assured him that he would have informed the school had there been an actual threat.
Heckenlively said the school is committed to its efforts to keep students and educators safe.
Heckenlively: "From mental health supports, our Standard Response Protocol, Vector Alerts, and the new Safe2Help Report Line, FCPS are committed to early interventions for students in need. Likewise, school buildings are equipped with the continually updated infrastructure and safety plans as security best practices are studied and implemented."
