Class C Boy's Golf State Title determined by sudden death playoff...River Country athlete prevails

COLUMBUS-The Class C Boy's State Golf Championships were held Tuesday and Wednesday at the Elk's Country Club in Columbus.
Two River Country golfers took the course and competed at a very high level.
Elmwood-Murdock senior, Nathan Lockman tied for 23rd place as he shot a total par to gross of +27, a round one score of 90, and a round two score of 81, for a total gross of 171.
Palmyra Junior Noah Carpenter would be towards the top of the leader board the entire tournament. He would end up going into a sudden death playoff for the state championship against Mitchell's Cael Peters. Carpenter would sink his final putt and pump his fist as he would defeat Peters to become the Class C Boy's State Golf Champion.
Carpenter would finish with a total to par gross of +11, a round one score of 75, a round two score of 80, for a total gross score of 155.
