Nine juveniles cited for privacy fence vandalism
Sarpy County Sheriff's Office responded to numerous destruction of property incidents on Tuesday.
OMAHA, Neb. -- Sarpy County Sheriff's Office responded to numerous destruction of property incidents on Tuesday.
Authorities said that all incidents involved residential privacy fences that were intentionally damaged during the early morning hours.
The Sheriff's Office said that during the initial investigations, deputies were able to collect surveillance video of several of the incidents.
Officials said that not only were those videos provided to the Sheriff's Office but they were also shared on social media sites for potential identifications of the numerous suspects.
On Thursday, the Sheriff's Office received information that led to citations being issued to nine juveniles for criminal mischief.
Sarpy County Sheriff Jeffery Davis said, "I am grateful for the cooperation we had from the community, our friends from local media outlets, and the diligent work of our Road Patrol and Investigations units. This collaboration was instrumental in solving these cases quickly and efficiently."
