Chapin promotes Wildwood disc golf course
NEBRASKA CITY - Mitch Chapin spoke to Nebraska City residents Wednesday to promote disc golf and the Wildwood disc golf course.
Chapin said that there are over 100 disc golf courses in Nebraska alone and the sport is beginning to emerge on a national level. It can be played professionally and ESPN covers two major disc golf tournaments a year.
For those interested in participating in disc golf, but don't know where courses are, Chapin said there is an app called "UDisc" that helps show where courses are located, provides details on the course, contact information and provides a rating of the course.
The Wildwood disc golf course, established in 2022, features nine holes with the average hole length at 350 feet and an array of significant elevation changes.
It is free to play and the course is open year round.
