Hoagland charged with extortion from jail phone
Sheriff says Humboldt woman wanted to bond money
FALLS CITY – A Humboldt woman is charged with theft by extortion from the Richardson County jail.
The sheriff’s office reports listening to phone calls made by 34-year-old Kimberly Hoagland on a jail phone.
An arrest affidavit says Hoagland asked two people in separate phone calls to re-instate her $1,500 bond or she would reveal information about meth use. The affidavit says Hoagland said she would move to California as soon as she gets out.
