Bound volumes in dumpster

NEBRASKA CITY - The Nebraska City News-Press, which published its 40th issue of its 166th volume on Friday, has its historic bound volumes in dumpster outside of its Ninth Street location.
When the News-Press was still located at 123 S. Eighth St., it had thousands of film negatives and photos that have since been lost.
A Facebook post by newspaper editor Kirt Manion says digital newspaper archives of Nebraska City Daily News beginning in 1925 and Nebraska City News beginning in 1858 are available at the public library.
The newspaper is moving to a new location.
Discarded items include bound volumes of the Hamburg Reporter and Nebraska City Daily Press.
