High winds cause damage around Nebraska City Tuesday
NEBRASKA CITY - High winds were anticipated throughout the day and evening on Tuesday, and Nebraska City has already seen the affects from the wind gusts around town.
At Table Creek Golf Course, a house saw damage to its roof, with shingles beginning to peel off and blow in the breeze.
Similar damage was seen at a house on 11th Street as the siding along the roof of the building started to break off and is now only partially connected.
Billboards have been seen knocked down and blown away along Highway 2. Winds have been blowing steady at 35 mph with gusts at 45 mph reported at the Nebraska City Municipal Airport.
Stronger winds are still possible as well as hail and flying debris. Storms are expected to continue throughout the evening and into early Wednesday morning.
