Historic Ashland house destroyed by fire

Ashland Fire and Rescue responded to a reported house fire around 2:20am Tuesday

ASHLAND-According to a Facebook post for the Ashland Volunteer Fire Department: Ashland Fire and Rescue responded to a reported house fire around 2:20am Tuesday and found the Historic Beetison House fully involved, as well as a large area of prairie grass and Iron Horse Golf Course.

Crews were able to extinguish the fire without any further extension, however the abandoned house is a total loss.

Nebraska State Fire Marshal’s office and Ashland Police Department are investigating the cause of the fire.
