Stabbing at Family Dollar in Omaha leads to charges
Omaha Police said they are investigating a cutting that injured a person at Family Dollar Sunday.
OMAHA, Neb. -- Omaha Police said they are investigating a cutting that injured a person at Family Dollar Sunday.
Police said that they responded to a call for a cutting Sunday afternoon, at the Family Dollar at 834 South Street.
Officials said that officers responded to the business at 12:36 p.m. and located the female victim.
Authorities said that woman had been stabbed by a shoplifting suspect, who left the scene heading north.
OPD said that officers found the suspect, later identified as 18-year-old Ohmar Abdulle, near 21st and Jones Street.
Omaha Fire Department medics transported the woman to a local hospital with a non-life threatening injury.
Abdulle has charges pending against him.
