Maddy Duncan named NSCA strength and conditioning All-American

(Peru, Neb.)—Maddy Duncan (Hamburg, Iowa) - member of the Peru State women's basketball team was recently named an NSCA Strength and Conditioning All-American Athlete of the Year.
This award recognizes Duncan's athletic accomplishments and her dedication to strength and conditioning. Nominated by Coach Dr. Kyle Ryan of Peru State College, Duncan's determination to improve in athletics while maintaining academic prominence is a great model for all student-athletes at Peru State College.
"Maddy Duncan is a second-year member of the Peru State Women's Basketball Team. This year she was voted a team captain, the only underclassman to receive this honor. Maddy led the team in points per game and minutes per game," said Dr. Kyle Ryan Professor of Kinesiology at Peru State College.
Dr. Ryan continued…
"This past Fall, Maddy recorded the best time in the pro agility test (4.57 s), the best vertical jump (31.5 in), and broad jump (86 in), reflecting the success of a program based upon ground based power. Maddy is a leader on the court in many ways that statistics don't show and will continue to be a big part of the success that Peru State Women's Basketball had this year and beyond."
On behalf of the Peru State Athletic Department, we want to wish a congratulations to Maddy Duncan on this outstanding accomplishment.
