OPD: Man threatens family, crashes into three cars and bus
OMAHA, Neb. -- Details have been released about the man Omaha Police arrested after crashing into a city bus.
OPD says the incident happened Monday afternoon.
Officers say 32-year-old Michael Nordmeyer allegedly crashed into three cars an an ORBT Metro bus before he was arrested near 36th and Dodge Streets.
Nordmeyer's ex-wife later told police that Nordmeyer had assaulted her and used a knife to threaten to kill and their three children. He then reportedly forced them to get into a car.
After the crash, all parties exited the vehicle and Nordmeyer was arrested.
He was placed into custody and faces numerous charges, including false imprisonment, terroristic threats and weapons charges.
Nordmeyer's bond was set at $250,000.
