BELLEVUE, Neb. (WOWT) - Bellevue Police arrested two suspects after a standoff Monday.

Gatluak Pal, 31, was arrested for robbery, obstructing an officer, theft by possession of stolen property of over $5,000, theft of services, and conspiracy to commit a felony.

Samuel Chaplian, 21, was arrested for accessory to robbery, conspiracy to commit a felony, obstructing an officer, theft of services, and theft by possession of stolen property of over $5,000.

It all began with a reported theft at a T-Mobile store on Cornhusker Rd. just before 5:30 p.m. then a dine and dash at China Buffet on Samson Way about a half-hour later.

Officers nearby found the suspect vehicle, a red Ford F-150 with two people inside at Casey’s on Samson Way. It’s reported the pickup was stolen out of Omaha according to the release.

The passenger surrendered when officers negotiated, the driver did not.

The release further states the driver attempted to leave by putting the car in reverse.

Officers used a tactical vehicle to pin the pickup in place then used pepper balls to get the suspect to surrender.

Officials say no injuries were reported and the pickup truck and the tactical vehicle had minor damage from the incident.

Both are being held at Sarpy County Jail.
