Boat Club sues city over dock road
Boat Club says Plattsmouth obligated to restore access lost in 2019 Missouri River flood

PLATTSMOUTH – The Plattsmouth City Council is scheduled to meet at 7 p.m. on March 21.
The agenda includes the fiscal year audit, wages for non-union employees and a legal issue brought by the Plattsmouth Boat Club.
In a lawsuit filed March 3, the boat club claims the city is legally obligated to provide an access road to its property near the Missouri River.
A complaint says the city agreed to maintain the access road in a 2004 contract and did maintain the road until the flood of 2019. Since then, the Plattsmouth Boat Club says, access has not been restored.
The boat club says its only access is the eastern end of Main Street.
