Ziskey says Omaha man was prescription patsy
Krueger sentenced for attempting to fill fraudulent prescription
NEBRASKA CITY – Robert Krueger, 59, of Omaha was sentenced Monday to 270 days in jail for attempting to fill a fraudulent prescription at Walgreens in Nebraska City.
Prior to sentencing, Public Defender Michael Ziskey described Krueger as a patsy. He said Krueger was given a ride from Omaha to Nebraska City and offered food and money if he would get the prescription filled.
Police say the pharmacy could not verify the existence of the doctor who purportedly signed the prescription.
In a plea agreement, Otoe County Attorney Jennifer Panko-Rahe and Ziskey jointly recommended the jail term.
Krueger was given credit for 143 days already served and is expected to be released in 35 days.
