Men's Bowling finishes in sixth at the Kohawk Invite

On Saturday, February 5 and Sunday, February 6, the Peru State men's bowling team finished sixth in the Kohawk Invite. Mount Mercy hosted the invite.

(Peru, Neb.)—On Saturday, February 5 and Sunday, February 6, the Peru State men's bowling team finished sixth in the Kohawk Invite. Mount Mercy hosted the invite.

On the first day the Bobcats finished in 11th place out of 20 with an overall total of 4568. The top three teams after a day of competition were St. Ambrose University with a total 5416, Mount Mercy with a total of 5314 and Waldorf University with a total of 4888.

The men improved by five spots on day two as they finished in sixth place with a score of 7760. St. Ambrose University won the tournament with a score of 8954, host Mount Mercy came in second with a score of 8533 and Baker finished in third place with a score of 7938.

Isaac Skalak (Lincoln) had an impressive individual performance as he finished 23rd overall in the invite with a total of 1011 and a tournament average of 202.2. Skalak had games of 192, 209, 226, 204 and 180.

Creyton Nisly (Hutchinson, Kan.) finished 62nd overall with a total of 907 and a tournament average of 181.4. Nisly had games of 156, 216, 238, 159 and 138.

 Zachary Phillips (Topeka, Kan.) finished in 94th place with a total of 751 and tournament average of 187.8. Phillips had games of 175, 200, 222 and 154.

Jett Tolentino (Mililani, Hawaii) finished 122nd overall with a total of 521 and a tournament average of 173.7. Tolentino had games of 215, 127 and 129.

Stephen Acton (Falls City) finished 126th overall with a total of 513 and a tournament average of 171. Acton had games of 169, 185 and 159.

Wyatt Woodward (Broken Bow) finished 128th overall with a total of 506 and a tournament average of 168.7. Woodward had games of 157, 187 and 162.

Michael Anderson (Cairo) finished 139th overall with a total of 359 and a tournament average of 179.5. Anderson had games of 161 and 198.

The men's bowling team will be back on the road this upcoming weekend, as they compete in the Wildcat Challenge hosted by Baker University in Lawrence, Kansas.
