NEBRASKA CITY - A 39-year-old Nebraska City man is charged flight to avoid arrest on Saturday, as well as methamphetamine and weapon charges.
Police attempted a traffic stop of a Pontiac Grand Prix on south 15th Street and chased the vehicle on the rocked 63rd Road to Highway 2. The pursuit went south of Nebraska City to J Road and stopped on 60th Road near a barn.
Despite orders at gunpoint, an arrest affidavit says, Cody Wells turned from the officer and walked toward the door of a barn. He was apprehended with use of a taser.
The affidavit says a dagger style knife and loaded handgun were found in his pockets and a pipe with meth found in the Pontiac.
