Citizen reports of drug activity lead to probation sentence

AUBURN – Mitchell Elliott, 30, of Auburn was sentenced to 48 months probation for attempted delivery of methamphetamine in Auburn in December of 2020. The sentence runs concurrent to other probation sentences.
Nemaha County sheriff’s deputies arrested Elliott after searching a 17th Street residence.
A county judge issued the warrant after sheriff’s deputies reported citizen complaints of over 50 drug transactions. Court records say citizens told investigators that drugs are purchased for $250 per ounce, but sold in Auburn for 2 grams for $40.
Sentencing for Darcy Wiles, 29, of Auburn is scheduled Feb.23. Wiles entered a plea to a misdemeanor attempted possession.
Calvin Sharp, 28, of Auburn is scheduled for a Feb. 9 hearing on a possession charge. Sharp told investigators he was only temporarily staying at the residence at the time it was searched.
