Investigators suspect that the deer was struck by another vehicle and propelled into the pickup, which was driven by 45-year-old Marc Chamberlain. The deer struck the top of the hood and entered the passenger compartment through the windshield.

The deer broke the passenger seat head rest before it exited through a rear window of the cab.

Chamberlain reported minor injuries due to flying glass, but refused treatment.
