FALLS CITY –  Dispatch: “Attention all units, Richardson County has received no response from Sgt. Jeremy Goldsberry, badge 9195 …”

Over 50 officers from three states and Indian nations joined the family of Deputy Sgt. Jeremy Goldsberry at funeral services Tuesday.

Goldsberry, 46, died unexpectedly after finishing a shift with the Richardson County Sheriff’s Office on Jan. 9.

Pastor Hader said he was a respected leader for the Richardson County Sheriff’s Office.

The Nebraska State Patrol Honor Guard provided graveside honors and Sheriff Rick Hardesty presented the family with a ceremonial American flag.

County Commissioner Rick Karas called it a sad day for Richardson County and for law enforcement to lose such a fine officer.

Dispatch: “Jeremy completed his calling in his earthly life on Jan. 9, 2022. His legacy and character will live on in the hearts of those who loved him …rest easy brother, we’ll take it from here.”
