Auburn sales tax sets new highs
City collects $18,000 over last year's rate in first three months of fiscal year

AUBURN - In the latest sales tax report, the city of Auburn is $52,000 ahead of budget three months into the fiscal year.
The city set a new record high for August collections exceeding $55,000 for the first time since December of 2020, which is the highest collections in any month ever at $58,556.
The $47,000 collected in September and $49,000 collected in October were also record highs for their months.
In the first three months, Auburn has collected $18,523 more than the previous year.
