Chandler charged with escape
Falls City woman says she was "jumped" while trying to raise bail in Houston

Kimberly Chandler, 51, is charged with felony escape in Richardson County on Nov. 17.
Court records say Chandler signed an appearance bond in October saying she would return to the Richardson County jail at any time she was no longer in treatment, but Sheriff Rick Hardesty told the county judge that she left rehab with plans to go to Texas to gather bond money.
The sheriff says Chandler reported being unable to get the bond money because “she was jumped and spent a month in the hospital in Houston.”
Chandler is accused of conspiring to distribute $80 worth of meth on Aug. 15 ad delivering $120 in meth on Aug. 19.
