Stubbenick farm hit by December winds

SYRACUSE - Dave and Robin Stubbendick of rural Avoca experienced damage to two large machine sheds as the storm rolled through Wednesday.

 

 

Dave is assessing the damage with friends. All farm machine was locked in tight to weather out the storm, but that quickly changed. As the storm became more intense and closer , Dave and Robin decided to go to the basement. 

Only a few steps down did they hear the noise of their buildings being torn apart, looking out Robin said it was raining corn.

When asked Dave if he thought it was a tornado or straight line winds, he said he wasn't sure, there was debris thrown in all directions.
