Deputies focus on impaired drivers in December, New Year's

FALLS CITY - The Richardson County Sheriff's Office will be participating in the Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over from Dec. 17 to Jan. 1.

Sheriff’s deputies will be working extra hours of overtime focusing on impaired drivers.

The Richardson County Sheriff's Office participated in the Buckle Up, Every Trip, Every Time Mobilization from November 24-28..

 During the time, sheriff's deputies conducted 150 traffic stops and issued 61 citations.

The department also answered 38 calls for service, responded to 5 motor vehicle accidents. Deputies made 12 arrests during the period. Of the 12 arrests, two were for driving under the influence and three for felony offenses.
