Pickup rolls at west intersection of Nebraska City

NEBRASKA CITY – Nebraska City Fire and Rescue extricated a Talmage man from a rollover accident on Highway 75 Saturday morning.

The Otoe County Sheriff’s Office reports that a Toyota Tacoma, driven by Taylor Gerdes of Talmage, left the highway at the west intersection in Nebraska City. The pickup truck rolled twice and came to rest on the passenger side.

Gerdes was wearing a seatbelt and there was not airbag deployment. He was taken to CHI Health St. Mary’s with minor injuries.

The sheriff’s office says speed was a factor in the accident around 5:50 a.m.
