FALLS CITY - A 27-year-old Falls City man is charged with operating a motor vehicle to avoid arrest on Oct. 29.

Falls City police attempted a traffic stop on Harlan Street, but say the vehicle continued at a high rate of speed and disregarded stop signs at Stone and Chase streets. The car went over the curb at 20th and Hiland and hit the curb at 15th and Abbott, where it began leaking coolant.

Police say a Pontiac Bonneville owned by Joshua Perman was found parked on Chase Street, still leaking coolant. Police say the car also had fresh scrape marks on the undercarriage.
