Hair stylists raise awareness

NEBRASKA CITY  - Stylists at Appearances Hair and Tanning  Salon on Central Avenue in Nebraska City are wearing T-shirts featuring a pink ribbon on Fridays in honor of breast cancer awareness month.

They have also posted ribbons on mirrors at work stations.

The stylists say the T-shirts have prompted a positive reaction in the community.

Megan Wirth said the actions of  her co-workers have been especially meaningful to her as she is a breast cancer survivor this year.
