FALLS CITY -  A Richardson County family that has been donating quarters for a scholarship fund in memory of Easton Vonderschmidt has been victimized by theft.

The family has been placing quarters on Vonderschmidt’s grave for over three years. The money is intended to go to a memorial fund, but the family discovered in June the quarters had been stolen.

Additional quarters placed at the gravesite were also stolen periodically.

On Tuesday, a Richardson County judge issued an arrest warrant for a 34-year-old Falls City woman.

Court records say the Vonderschmidt family set up a trail camera to monitor activity at the gravesite.

Easton Vonderschmidt, who attended Falls City Sacred Heart, was killed in a 2017 automobile accident.
