Deputies search apartment in downtown Nebraska City
NEBRASKA CITY – An Otoe County Sheriff’s Office investigation into the theft of a pickup truck led to the search of an apartment building in downtown Nebraska City on Oct. 8 and the filing of multiple drug and weapons charges.
A sheriff’s office investigator searched video from a gas station and later found the truck parked near the apartment building at 10th Street and Central Avenue.
Before serving the search warrant, an investigator saw a suspect in a car at the bank ATM drive thru across the street.
Lilliana Watson, 21, and Patrick Hrouda, 26, of Brock were arrested at the bank ATM on allegations that meth was found in Watson’s pocket.
An arrest affidavit says officers conducting the apartment search found over 11 grams of meth in a common space of the apartment and multiple weapons, including two 9 mm handguns, crossbow, long knives and a brass knuckles.
The affidavit says deputies found keys to the pickup truck on a necklace around the neck of Will Neeman, 40, of Nebraska City. A $75,000 bond was set for Neeman, who is charged with theft by receiving.
Facing possession with intent and weapon charges are Christopher Steele, 31, and Bonnie Snyder, 19, both of Nebraska City.
