Syracuse teen charged with sexual assault

NEBRASKA CITY – A 17-year-old Syracuse juvenile is charged in Otoe County with sexual assault between January and September of this year.

A county court judge set bond at $100,000 for the juvenile, who is currently held at the Lancaster Youth Detention Center.

The arrest affidavit has been sealed, but a complaint alleges a 13-year-old victim.

Otoe County Attorney Jennifer Panko-Rahe said the juvenile has a right to ask the court to transfer the case to juvenile court.
