'We're Back' - AppleJack 2021
NCTC pleased with new craft shows and car show extending to Sixth Street

NEBRASKA CITY - Nebraska City Tourism and Commerce reports a successful start to the three weekends of AppleJack 2021.
The AppleJack Parade featured 78 entries, including the Lewis & Clark Center, Paper Ballet of Lincoln and Heartland Workers with a Hispanic Culture theme, as well as the Tangier Shrine riding in comfort.

Paralympian Cheri Becerra Madsen was the parade's grand marshal. She won silver and bronze medals in the Paralympics of the Tokyo Games.
The Church of Christ has the best overall float. Arbor Bank won best use of theme and Lifetime Vision had the best commercial float.

The car show had over 300 entries. NCTC's Amy Allgood said the car show extended down to Sixth Street, which helped boutiques and tie in with the flea market

NCTC reports increased traffic this year at the orchards.
The flea market had extended hours and the Lourdes Central Catholic craft fair set the tone for future AppleJack. The festival was known for craft shows, but when the mall closed, it was a set back.
In the marching band competition, Blair won Class A, followed by Nebraska City. The Pioneer band trailed by just 11 points.
The points are based on music performance, 40 points; marching fundamentals and general affect 20 points. With three judges there is a potential for 300 points and Nebraska City had 260.
In Class C, Palmyra won followed by Lourdes Central Catholic.
