Bellamy scheduled in PSC speaker series

PERU – Game designer Gordon Bellamy is scheduled Wednesday, Sept. 8, as part of Peru State College’s distinguished speaker series.
Bellamy is a visiting scholar at the University of Southern California Games Program and heads the university’s incubator program to cultivate the next generation of leaders in gaming.
His presentation it titled “Diversity in eSports and STEM.”
Bellamy also serves as the President and CEO of the Gay Gaming Professionals and serves on the Board of Directors for TheWaveVR.
Bellamy has played key business and product leadership roles at Tencent, Electronic Arts, as a designer on Madden NFL Football and MTV.
He has served as executive director of both the Academy of Interactive Arts and Sciences and the International Game Developers Association.
Bellamy received a Lifetime Achievement Award at the 2018 Games Developer Conference and was featured on Nickelodeon for Black History Month for 25 years of contributions to game industry and culture.
He is a graduate of Harvard College with a degree in Engineering, and resides with his husband Joe Heally, and their dog, Colby Janet, in Los Angeles, Calif.
