Sheriff: body found on railroad trestle

NEBRASKA CITY – The Otoe County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a death after a body was found by personnel at the Omaha Public Power District plant in rural Nebraska City.

A sheriff’s office press release says the body of a male was found on a railroad trestle, where trains cross to unload coal. The body was recovered by the Nebraska City Fire Department.

The identity of the male is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
