Falls City man charged with felony flight
Deputy says truck nearly hit him head-on after going through a yard near Crook Street

FALLS CITY – Jacob Babb, 29, of Falls City is charged with operating a motor vehicle to avoid arrest, resisting arrest, willfull reckless driving, driving under the influence and other offenses.
An arrest affidavit says a sheriff’s deputy initiated a traffic stop after he saw a truck he estimated going 80 in a 65 mph zone of Highway 8 on July 30.
The deputy said the truck did not stop despite lights and sirens and entered Falls City, where it appeared to crash. The truck went through a yard at 21st and Crook streets and, the deputy said, nearly hit his car head-on. The truck was found abandoned at 16th and Towle and Babb arrested at a nearby location.
