Sheriff: man fled Pacific Junction stop

GLENWOOD – The Mills County Sheriff’s Office is looking for 27-year-old Jacob Stoner of Council Bluffs following a traffic stop of a 2013 Dodge Avenger near Pacific Junction, Iowa, at 2 a.m. early this morning.

A sheriff’s office press release says while a  deputy was conducting the traffic stop with the female driver, Stoner  jumped into the driver’s seat and stole the vehicle and fled from deputies fleeing into Nebraska.

Stoner is wanted by Mills County authorities with numerous charges.

Anyone with information about the whereabouts of Stoner is asked to call local law enforcement or the Mills County Sheriff.
