Library hosts nature and art day

FALLS CITY – The Falls City Library and Arts Center is hosting a nature and art day on Tuesday, June 29, from 1 to 2:30 p.m.

Lincoln Public Schools Social Worker Schyler Lindekugel-Sullivan and Art Educator Andrea Jenkins are scheduled to help participants calm their mind and connect to nature through creativity.

A library press release says students will use calming body movements, mindfulness exercise and creativity challenges before heading outdoors. They will observe nature and create an art piece to take home.

The program is sponsored in memory of Dixie Pethound of Falls City.
