Richardson County Sheriff's Office tallies over 200 traffic stops

FALLS CITY – The Richardson County Sheriff’s Office participated in the Click It or Ticket mobilization May 24 to June 6.

During the two weeks, deputies conducted 216 traffic stops and issued 128 citations and 88 warnings.

The sheriff's office also answered 121 calls for service and responded to six motor vehicle accidents. Deputies cited 11 seat belt violations and one child restraint violation.

There were a total of 23 arrests, including two driving under the influence, six driving under suspension and five warrants.

The department had 10 felony drug arrests, three of which were from traffic stops.

Five search warrants were also served during the grant period. A total of a quarter pound of meth was seized, as well as cocaine and ecstasy. There were 13 other related drug charges.
