Plattsmouth police recognized for bravery

PLATTSMOUTH – A Plattsmouth police Facebook post recognizes officers Drake and Hardy for bravery on May 31.

The post says Plattsmouth police and firefighters were sent to Pleasant Drive on a report of a residence filling with smoke.

Ofc. Alex Drake was first to arrive and Ofc. Jon Hardy, who was also on duty for the fire department, arrived shortly after.

The officers found an individual in the house that could not get out on his own power, so the officers entered the house and carried him out. He was transported to the hospital with minor injuries.

The Facebook post says Plattsmouth firefighters were able to prevent further damage to the residence.
